Delete your data

Data on your phone

Your emergency contacts, name, alert message, policy number and settings are stored only on your phone. To delete them:

1. Open ScamGuard SOS and go to Contacts. Tap the bin icon next to each contact and clear the text fields, or
2. Uninstall the app, or go to Settings › Apps › ScamGuard SOS › Storage › Clear data.

This deletes them immediately. We never receive this data.

Data on our server

When you send an SOS, the live map stores your location, battery level and the name you entered. To delete it:

1. Tap I'm safe or Stop sharing in the app to end the live map straight away, and
2. Message us on WhatsApp to ask us to delete your live-map records or analytics data. Include the live-map link if you have it.

What is deleted and what is kept

• Live-map data (location, battery level, name): deleted on request. It is also deleted automatically within 7 days after the link ends, and links end after 24 hours at most.
• Anonymous usage analytics (Umami page counts and Hotjar usage recordings, with personal fields hidden): deleted on request where it can be linked to you; otherwise removed under our analytics providers' retention periods, up to 365 days.
• We don't keep any other data about you.
